Homac Selects the Richmond Information Group, Ltd.

The Homac Companies, a leading supplier of connectors to the utility industry, has contracted The Richmond Information Group, Ltd. to support their implementation of BPCS v8.1 during the first quarter of 2004. Homac hopes to improve their manufacturing control, forecasting, cost and financial accounting and material management. Virginia's A.L. Philpott Manufacturing Extension Partnership Selects The Richmond Information Group as a Consulting Partner

Virginia's A.L. Philpott Manufacturing Extension Partnership (VPMEP) has selected The Richmond Information Group, Ltd. (RIG) to join the VPMEP network of service providers. VPMEP relies on outside private and public consulting resources to deliver services for many of their projects with Virginia manufacturers. Sauer, a manufacturer of mayonnaise, salad products and other well known food products; had a need for a stand alone application designed to add efficiency to their supply chain. RIG’s expertise in the wireless data collection arena for manufacturers made them a natural fit for this opportunity. PHOENIX Business Consulting Partners with Del Monte Foods Company in Successful U.S. Nationwide Systems Integration

PHOENIX Business Consulting, Inc., a provider of business consulting services and solutions, recently completed its role in providing significant support in the successful U.S. company-wide ERP and other business systems integration project for Del Monte Foods [NYSE: DLM], a pre-eminent U.S. branded food marketer.

Del Monte acquired certain businesses from the H.J. Heinz Company in December of 2002, which required an assimilation of business processes. Beginning in March 2003, PHOENIX was asked to play a significant role by leveraging its talent and expertise to implement proven ERP and complementary business systems to support the entire U.S. operations of Del Monte Foods, which included Del Monte Headquarters in San Francisco, operations in Pittsburgh, Pa., distribution centers and manufacturing facilities across the U.S.

The Richmond Information Group to Host .NET and ERP Technology Seminar

The Richmond Information Group, in conjunction with Intuitive Manufacturing and Microsoft, is hosting a Microsoft .NET and ERP Technology Seminar. Our objective is to to educate the manufacturing community about the real-world business benefits of ERP technology based on Microsoft .NET and to demonstrate Intuitive's .NET-based solution, Intuitive ERPTM. Business owners and managers, operations managers and IT managers are invited to come and see firsthand how Microsoft .NET enables applications that are smaller, faster, more innovative, easier to learn, use and maintain, and most importantly will provide competitive advantage.

The Richmond Information Group to Provide Services to Valeo in Hampton

Valeo, Incorporated (Valeo) has selected The Richmond Information Group, Ltd. (RIG) to provide manufacturing and technical consulting services at their Transmissions Division production facility in Hampton, Virginia. Valeo had a need for IBM iSeries, also known as the AS/400 and IBM Midrange server, programming and consulting. RIG’s over fourteen years of expertise on this platform made them a natural fit for this opportunity.

Southeastern Mills, Inc. Successfully Implements BPCS version 8.2

Southeastern Mills, Inc. has successfully implemented BPCS version 8.2.01 in all of its operating divisions.

For the Southeastern Mills division this was an upgrade from BPCS version 6.02. For the Milner Milling and Pendleton Mills divisions this was a full implementation from custom legacy systems.

Jim Ruch, Corporate Director of IT states; “This is the first time in the company’s history we have all of our operations utilizing a common ERP system.” Ruch also notes “with the assistance of our consultants from the Richmond Information Group, Ltd., we were able to develop and implement business process changes during this implementation that will provide more than a 100% return on our investment during the year 2004.
